In order to become a CDFA™ professional, a candidate must successfully complete a series of exams based on a self-study course offered by the Institute, be in good standing with his or her firm or broker/dealer and any governmental regulatory agencies, and complete 20 hours of continuing education every two years.

Why work with a CDFA professional during a divorce?

"Thank you so much for all your help with my divorce and with my attorney. Working with you as our CDFA gave me a clear definition of our assets. Although we ended litigating the divorce, you helped me map out a plan for a division of assets. Praying we can sign and be finished soon! There is no looking back for me. I am so excited to move forward.

The past two years on my own was difficult in many ways, but I am stronger, wiser, and happier than I have ever been, and it feels so good!"

"In 2018 I was referred to Mary Ann Ernette at Harmony Divorce Solutions for assistance with mediating my divorce proposal. Divorce is an emotionally draining process that is confusing and overwhelming and I was unsure how to move forward. Mary Ann met with me several times, offering financial advice, and helping me navigate the maze of division of marital property and settlement. Because of her professional advice I had the confidence to negotiate a higher support agreement than I originally expected. Although my spouse ultimately refused to sign our mediation agreement and I am now in litigation, I am no longer emotionally helpless and the knowledge I gained from Mary Ann is empowering me to stand firm on negotiating a fair settlement. I highly recommend Mary Ann!"
